Hey guys,

i have a little problem with my car :(

Specs are as follows:

93 Jspec TT AT

Big intercooler with piping

3" Nur Spec Catback

3" First Decat

Stock Midpipe with stock cat

So i installed my 3" First decat today with the restrictor ring from Chris.

Right now i dont have my FCD installed so i expected a boost cut while going full throttle.

Sadly my boost stayed all the way at round about 0,6 Bar / 8,7 psi.

But i can´t figure out why?! Ive all parts for BPU and just get stock boost :((

My only thought was that the midpipe with stock cat is too restrictive :(

Andy idea?

Na the first decat didnt make any change in power. Doesnt feel different to before.

I need 1 cat in place for co2 regulations. Maybe replace the stock cat by a racing cat.

So removing the restrictor ring should show me more boost (if everything is alright) also with the second cat still stock.

@bigbloodyturbo: The turbos spool only with stock power. I recently ran against a new 370z (310hp on dyno) and we were dead even. So it can´t be, that my turbos spool more then stock :(

Good news everyone ;)

I remove the RR today and hit 0,9 Bar on the first two runs. The next 3-6 runs the boost gauge only showed me 0,6 Bar but the power felt the same.

I think i realy hit 0,9 bar and that my gauge is just shit :) Going to buy a nice Boostcontroller which will sort that out :)

How do you figure that it couldn't be a boost leak:taped:. It may not be but your theory doesn't make any sense. Your boost gauge does not show what your turbos are doing, it only shows what your manifold is getting. If you had a boost leak your manifold could show lower boost but your turbos could be overboosting. It would explain why your down on power to. It's up to you but its a simple check and something i would personally do if i had just dumped a load of backpressure and got NO extra boost on my gauge, especially on a jspec with our cr@p wastegate. Your engine though.

I will check every hose tomorrow. Will see if there is any leak.
