LolaBoost94
So, instead of doing 7 months in Iraq... we're now doing almost 8. No disrespect to the Army guys doing a year. It's the extension that pissed everyone off. I'm supposed to be moving to the UK, which I still am, but might not be able to get Lola out of Japan now because of not being given enough time to get everything done that needs to get done as far as export paperowork and getting her to the port. I'm supposed to be going to training in the states, which is going to allow me to see my mother after two years now that's possibly out the window. Our government is fking up and putting out pay on hold until they can get their thumbs out of their ass and make progress so the $2500 rent/utility bills are going to be fun to pay on top of all of my other expenses with moving I can't out-process my base because I'm deployed and they won't let me go home early with the other select few because "they don't see a reason too". I guess having a report date to my training and next duty station isn't good enough for them. Sometimes I wish I hadn't re-enlisted. Well, I feel a little bit better now Thanks for listening

jazz1
Good luck, the greedy government and stupid media has fucked up this world, all this bullshit war makes my blood boil, everything is about oil. I hope 2012 planet x is real, this world is getting worse, too much greed, war, hate, crime etc that's all you ever hear is negativity. RobSheffield
Would it maybe sensible to sell the car in Japan, use the money to move and buy a Supra in the UK when you get here?

Swampy442
I thought the US millitary would have this down pat, you move so many people in and out of theatre. In this respect our millitary have it sorted, Ive been extended in Afghan, Falklands and Iraq but it was only days. Plus never had any cash worries! I really thought the USAF were better. Hope you can get it sorted, although I doubt it given the bureaucrasy

LolaBoost94
Would it maybe sensible to sell the car in Japan, use the money to move and buy a Supra in the UK when you get here? Won't get much money in japan. I thought about putting it out there in Japan but as you said... I won't get much out of it at all... I'm not spreading as it is already posted, majority of the world do not see what's happening in this world, blame the greedy governments. lol though I'm from the states... I can see we are some of the greediest people. Those who make a lot of money are quick to take money from those who really need it and barely get paid much as it is. Good news out of this though the military is getting paid normal pay. I'm not proposing we deserve much over the normal American person but having been in Iraq for a while now, it would have been pretty sad to be here and have some of our pay taken away for however long. They finally came to that conclusion. My supervision has put my name on the list to possibly get home to get my paperwork and stuff shipped off so fingers crossed with that one! I'm not holding my breath though
jagman
"Sometimes I wish I hadn't re-enlisted." To be fair there was an element of choice ,and any military is not a job to make money ,there is also the element of getting shot at , these are well recorded and have been in place for a few hundred years -lol

To be fair there was an element of choice ,and any military is not a job to make money ,there is also the element of getting shot at , these are well recorded and have been in place for a few hundred years -lol I agree completely. In no way am I complaining about the mortar attacks, hostile fire, or the base pay that's in affect... there is always going to be someone that some may wish they have done slightly different. I chose to sign the papers; I take full credit/responsibility. My rant/complain is seeing a situation that could be one way, to benefit more than just myself and help the people, and a different route is being taken. Given, every great force has its flaws and nothing can be fixed with the snap of a finger but you have to start small to overcome greater obstacles. In my anger, I will say 'I wish I would have separated verse staying in the military' but I am actually proud to do what I do. For me, it takes blowing up and releasing my stubborn anger (not at anyone of course, sometimes in my room alone lol) to calm down and see the picture as a whole and come up with logical ways to help/fix it as a long term goal verse short (for situations I can actually help with). I'm still learning haha
