Just drove a Hummer

In the US last week and the car rental place gave us the offer of an upgrade to a Hummer. Why not I thought. I must say it's one of the worst things I have driven, it feels like it weighs about 10 tons yet has a lawnmower engine. Suspension should be super smooth on something like this but driving over a pebble made my head hit the roof and bite me tongue. Oh and it did about 10mpg. What a load of rubbish.

We loved the H3 we hired - went from Colorado to Vegas in it :) What was funny was when we got to Las Vegas and went to Alamo for our "Vegas" car - the Vette C6. The person who had it before us hadn't brought it back, so they offered us a C Class Merc instead. Keith told them that we use the for taxis in the UK and they should try harder, their next offer was an H3. Er no, we've already got one of those...... At this point they were despairing and we ended up with a S500 for the day. Wasn't remotely exciting but going up and down the Strip we were treated like royalty - presumably we looked like we were quite well off! Got the Vette the next day but the hire company couldn't understand why we wanted to swap!
