lust2luv
Have just been looking at the figures on mkiv.co.nz of the number of cars manufactured each year: 1993: 15901 1994: 10256 1995: 6863 1996: 4767 1997: 3930 (est) 1998: 2085 1999: 813 2000: 468 2001: 409 2002: 337 Total: 45829 Over 50% of mkivs were produced prior to Sept 1994. VVTIs account for only 10% of mkivs (4816), no wonder they're so rare (not helped by recent import regulations). So even though it sometimes seems otherwise, mkivs will always be a pretty rare car. To put the figures into perspective, these days Ferrari sell around 4-4500 cars a year, so since 1993 mkivs are probably rarer than Ferraris! I wonder how many mkivs are LHD?
