csa
Hi guys I'm trying to find out if theres a twinplate clutch out there for the W58 5 speed manual box. I asked exedy usa, and they said that they only made multiplates for the turbo. Howeverm when looking at their page is says that the "TM032SD" model suits: 1993 - 1992 SUPRA BASE 8 Flywheel Crank Bolts Required;PN OE#90910-02103;L6; 3L; Non-Turbo; Gas(2JZGE; 7MGTE) I've also tried exedy uk but no answer yet. Question: has anyone ever used this clutch, or any other multiplates on the W58 box? thanks
Chris Wilson
I have just checked and OS Giken don't list anything. However, be VERY careful fitting a twin plate, especially one without damper springs in the plates, to a gear train that is being over worked, torque wise, as the increased shock loadings may well kill the gearbox. csa
exactly, however, the exedy twin does have damper springs.
