Guest Terry S
I think Ian C will confirm this but as of this morning there is still 1 supra place available. If you are interested stick your name down and your spec and Big C can choose one. The cheques need to be with Chris Mann by this Saturday though so please keep that in Mind Currently running: CHRISTIAN DORAN DEE IRELAND IAN CHISHOLM LEON GREEN KEVIN HUNTLEY GAVIN LOUGHTON DAVID CUMMING MATT HARWOOD TERRY SAUNDERS
Jake
I think Ian C will confirm this but as of this morning there is still 1 supra place available. I applied before and was told by Ian C that JB had choosen Gavin L for the last place.
Guest Terry S
well you can come now Jake Seriously as always people have problems, there is a place going
Guest Terry S
Oh and please remember this is a team event! Due to Dudes performance last year, and Dee Ireland, we did OK, think the team was third behind the GTR boys and the MLR.
Jake
I thought that Dee is the driver for Calder. They're a Tuner Entry anyway, aren't they? Would that mean we have 2 spaces? I will happily compete if no (proven) better car is available. I applied to Ian before when they were considering Gavin because He's not a mkivsupra.net member. His car was listed as only 0.01 sec better ¼ mile than mine. Gav has achieved a better ¼ time since then though.
Alex
We could really do with a circuit specialist... Whiffin loves his track days but I see he's not listed... Anyone got a stripped out but road legal Sup with a track orientated suspension setup? Wish mine had gone to plan Would have loved to have competed. Guest Terry S
Jake, will you be ready? Gavin has had a large power hike since his previous runs. Cant really comment on the other. Alex, I believe Ian has chased Paul but nothing has been sent to Chris Mann.
Jake
Jake, will you be ready? The white one won't be ready. I thought I would blow my grey one up this time. I only want to compete if there's nothing better available. Where's all those single turbo Supras? It's not like TOTB has come as a surprise to anyone! Basically I'll put my name down but I'm happy to be bumped off the list by a better spec'd car. I'll go as a reserve if it helps, I'm going anyway. Guest Terry S
I may have been a bit previous, Ian is chasing Paul W again now
Alex
I only want to compete if there's nothing better available. Where's all those single turbo Supras? It's not like TOTB has come as a surprise to anyone! Buy me a Southbend DXD-F or HorsePowerFreaks Kevlar/Feramite with Southbend pressure plate clutch and I'll go But otherwise, cash is the limiting factor for this single. Drag racing and stock clutches doesn't mix!
RobSheffield
What about Chris Wilson as a track specialist?
CJ
.... Where's all those single turbo Supras? It's not like TOTB has come as a surprise to anyone! I had a choice between TOTB and going to Denmark with Joshy for a Road Trip. The road trip won

Ian C
Hello all I'll clear a few things up here, hopefully Our team places There are nine confirmed bought-and-paid-for places used, with one still outstanding that is ostensiably Paul Whiffin's. However, Chris Mann hasn't received a cheque from him yet and I can't get hold of him on the phone at the moment. Be ready in case I can't contact him and verify his participation... Reserve cars Reserves are not being catered for. Chris has had so much trouble with this in the past it's been stopped. It's an organisational nightmare to try and change a load of names and car details and arranging payment on the day of the event do to reserves stepping into the shoes of non-runners - this was impacting the smooth running of the day for all the people who could participate, which wasn't really fair. So, if you don't show on the day, your team is down one player. How many places do we really have then? Due to the popularity of the event, the teams are limited to 10 places maximum. This includes traders, privateers, and invite cars. So Dee Ireland is one of our 10 even though he isn't an over-active member of the club, even though he's a trader, and even though he has been invited back after his performance last year. This is the same for all clubs taking part. So, we have ten places. What about the non-members invading our space? Gavin Loughton has been invited by JB. He was a member but left for his own personal reasons that don't need to be discussed here. He's had a PHR turbo kit fitted and put in a good time since. It's also not a Vortex turbo kit, as four out of the ten spaces are already powered by those JB felt it wise and fair (for he is wise and fair ) to get a different setup in and see how it performs. Leon Green is one of the biggest showcases for the Supra enclave, and has many proven fast 1/4 miles to his name. He doesn't 'do' internet forums but is involved in the community, no-one can disagree with that. I sincerely hope he can show this year after the big disappointment last year. WTF happened to all the single turbo supras that have sprung up then? You tell me I advertised the TOTB entry details a long time ago and expected a frightening deluge - instead I almost didn't fill all the spaces. Hope all that helps. I know not everyone will be happy with some aspects but I'm actually cheered by how amicable the whole thing has been to organise, and I know people are getting excited about the event already - which is how it should be -Ian
michael
Reserve cars Reserves are not being catered for. Chris has had so much trouble with this in the past it's been stopped. That's interesting to hear, when I spoke to Chris on Sunday he was encouraging me to get reserves for the team I'm entering, maybe because we only have 5 confirmed places? Gaz Walker
Reserve cars Reserves are not being catered for. Wierd, the GTR register has 5 cars as reserves?! Gaz.
Ian C
That's interesting to hear, when I spoke to Chris on Sunday he was encouraging me to get reserves for the team I'm entering, maybe because we only have 5 confirmed places? Perhaps it is that. I can only relay what I've been told. It sorta went like this: "So if someone doesn't show on the day, a reserve >specifically cannot take their place? Sorry if I'm banging on but I figure >you'd rather it was clear now than on the day lol And I can put this on >our >forum so that it's clear early on for those guys as well. " "hi ian no we cant do any changes on the day, tried it before and it causes all sorts of hassles, as all the teams come asking and we have to sign on 125 people as it is, without issuing new changes to the computer etc." I think there is some confusion in that you can have reserve entries *now* in case anyone pulls out before the 12th July, but you can't have reserves *on the day* which is what you guys are talking about, unless I've mistaken everyone's intent (and that could be the case ) -Ian
michael
Ah yes, I'm talking about reserves at this point, not after the final teams have been submitted for inclusion in the timing records etc
