CJ
Previously Morpheus had threads pulled for his "evangelising" of conspiracy topics. So how much more of this type of post do we have to suffer before the poster gets the same treatment? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?243437-Microsoft-and-Toyota http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?241233-HTC-Mobile&p=3081656#post3081656 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?243420-Joy-of-Tech-All-companies-end-up-like-Microsoft&p=3081641#post3081641

monsween
Morpheus' ones were more of a pain in the ass IMO. However you're right. Hit the olde report thread button Come to think about it, where did that button go?

edinlexusV8
I already told you before I use google chrome as my default browser, google as my default search engine, Google maps & street view and also has an iPod. I am NOT evangelising neither I am asking anybody to convert to MS. But I have noticed some members here use one or two products n platforms and dont have a bigger picture of the whole MS ecosystem and tend to bash them for every thing MS stands for. Which I find unfortunate and I tend to defend this argument by showing examples how industry is living on MS and their products. For every pound MS earns, their partners earns 14 pounds. Ok bing is not that big in UK n Europe but last month in US 63% of searches are done by Google n the remaining 37% are done mostly using Bing and Yahoo (btw yahoo search results are also provided by the bing search engine). You might ask why if MS does all kinds of dodgy software of low quality, does companies like toyota, Ford, Fiat use their embedded OS n bing search on their EMV screens? As I said I am only defending the bashing MS gets on this forum. Hope you get the point finally n stop trying to demonise me for being on the other side of the argument. edinlexusV8
Members here talk about Google being open so let us check the number of patents these companies hold ... Google - 660 Apple - 3500 Microsoft - 18,000 So you can guess why the last two are not open platforms. How about Andriod 3.0 Honeycomb?? Will it be open source?? I has lost respect for google as they are becoming a patent troll in the industry. Stealing code from Oracle Java, Apple, Nokia etc and incorporated then into Android. CJ
And even your replies are seen as an opportunity to push MS products and services. If you wish, I could list the threads and posts whereby you constantly "sell" MS and a lot of those are not answering critics but starting of threads. To me that is evangelising and repetitive. So, (and this for the mods) what makes this evangelising different to Morpheus? OK, Morpheus used to rub people up the wrong way with his argumentative style and maybe the content wasn't as interesting to some more techy mods as this fellas offerings, but at the end of the day surely every member deserves to be treated equally and fairly. To me, this incessant MS BS is as bad as anything Morpheus posted in the past.
Havard
This thread may as well be in Welsh as I have no idea what people are on about? Why is EdinlexusV8 going on about Microsoft, does he work for them then? H.
edinlexusV8
There are threads started about Firefox 4, Andriod, iPhone, Angry birds etc etc when they are in beta or being released. Same is the case with my threads. The content of which dont evangelise but rather a place to have a discussion about an upcoming product like WP7, IE9. Just like the remaining topics I mentioned above. Also I am not posting in Supra Technical forums or Supra Chat forums. I am rather posting threads on Off Topic section. Dont see a problem with this. Strange you dont like my argument so you call my argument a sales pitch. Your argument is defective as I did not ask anybody to buy any MS stuff neither I put a price on a product for sale nor I opened a store for you to come and purchase. johnny g
To be honest, CJ, I just tend to ignore posts like his - as i think they're a waste of bandwidth, and the more someone tries to force an opinion on me, the more I tend to ignore it. I think EdinBillGatesV8 should look at how JustGav puts a point across and then take note.
CJ
This thread may as well be in Welsh as I have no idea what people are on about? Why is EdinlexusV8 going on about Microsoft, does he work for them then? H. He takes every and all opportunity to push MS products and services and posts endlessly about how wonderful they are. Others have done this in the past and had posts / threads pulled. he should not be treated any differently.
Thorin
How about Andriod 3.0 Honeycomb?? Will it be open source?? Yes, google have said it will anyway. Robert
This thread may as well be in Welsh as I have no idea what people are on about? Why is EdinlexusV8 going on about Microsoft, does he work for them then? H. Basically EdinlexusV8 goes on and on and on about MS and all their BS I have to agree with CJ to an extent, EdinlexusV8 you do talk too much about MS, i don't care how many patents they have or how many times good old Bill has a dump each day. Why you would get so offended because other people have a different opinion about MS is beyond me, people don't like them others do. Maybe you should watch a really good film called "Pirates of Silicon Valley" and then you can finally get on with life and if you love MS so much then great, i'm happy for you but don't post nothing but crap about how wonderful MS is and if anyone says a words against them you have some point or fact or other rubbish to say. johnny g
A fair point my friend. Then why wasn't Morpheus given the same leeway? Are the rules different for different topics? There's no rules per sé - if there was, I'd have all Liverpool Fans banned But, what the mods do is look at how controversial people are. Ed isn't controversial, he's just deluded/devoted/boring/etc - Morpheus did create controversial threads though. And heated debate is good, till it gets out of hand. Ed's thread don't do that, I think they're good for a giggle, at least.
CJ
The strange thing is, I am not anti MS myself. In fact, I use several of their products (win7 for example) and find them superb. But, and here's the thing, I don't feel the need to defend MS at every given opportunity (although like I said earlier, I think Ed does a lot more than defend) and try to rubbish their competition. edinlexusV8
I just checked my profile. Started 4 threads all together about MS. One on IE9, one on WP7. The last two being MS &Toyota and one thread on Joy on tech for having a laugh. Looks like CJ you are on a mission to ban me from the forum! edinlexusV8
Dont think you understand my point. You have to be in my shoes to see where I am coming from. Again in this thread I am only defending myself. I did not start this thread and same is the case with most of my other posts.

NO company makes the perfect suite of products - so Ed, stop thinking MS do.
