tkddav3
took the supe to a local performace garage this morning because recently ive noticed a clicking coming from the front end when on hard lock left or right. they think its a wheel bearing without jacking it up. any other siggestions, the pads seemed abit loose and u can move them a little? dont wanna spend all that money if there wrong is all. thanks
jevansio
I don't understand why it would only do it on full lock though, you had the car up and spun the wheel yourself?
Westy
How handy are you working on the car mate - I'd try troubleshooting the simpler explanations and attempting a self fix prior to forking out money to a garage. Pads could be one option, but it could be any number of things...droplinks, top mounts etc!?
tkddav3
sori, clicked the post button before i finsihed to start with it was just on lock but now u can hear it at slow speeds, only took it to a garage tday as my dad hid my trolley jack n i cudnt find it, well i can change the wheel baring myself, did it on a clio once so id give it a go
Chris Wilson
In 40 years I am yet to hear a wheel bearing that clicks
RobSheffield
If i was you id jack it up and try rocking it back and forth. Also look at droplinks and track rod ends, balljoints, but also at rotary items like the disc and wheel themselves, are they catching on anything? bignum
I had a rear bearing that made some rather strange clicking noises all the way back from germany, i closed the window and turned up the stereo:)

supra matt
Cheek your brake pad retainers are in the right way mate , I had the same thing and it drove me nuts for ages . Turned out when I changed my pads I put them back in upside down which made the pads move in the calliper .
Swampy442
Wheel bearings dont go that often on Supras, Id also check the brakes first

tkddav3
Cheek your brake pad retainers are in the right way mate , I had the same thing and it drove me nuts for ages . Turned out when I changed my pads I put them back in upside down which made the pads move in the calliper . the pads do move and make a clicking noise against the disc, that was my guess but garage said wheel bearing, but ive never heard a wheel bearing make that noise before, only thing is its only started making the noise n the pads have been in there for atleast six months?
