dani_r
Hello all! Someone has just told me that all fuels at home on the Isle of Man are maximum 97 RON! We used to have Shell V-Power but it was taken on by 'Manx Petroleums' which are apparently selling Shell fuels. Someone working at one of their petrol stations gave us a data sheet with all the info on for the Super Unleaded (we thought was V-Power) but apparently not! Can the TT run on 97 RON or am I going to have problems? Any help would be much appreciated! Dan

SilentAgro
If it has a standard ECU it should be fine. It's only when its been re-mapped they map it to the best fuel they can. Or something like that. Someone else will say I'm sure.
dani_r
A quick picture of the fuel pumps here on the IoM at the old shell fuelling stations showing 99 Octane on their 'Super Unleaded'! I think there's a legal issue here as well. But I'm only interested in how my car is going to run!

Just stick the super in. 97 or 99 will be fine maybe loose a few ponies but not many. If yours is a uk stick in 95 and buy a packet of crisps with the saving. Westy
Shouldnt see it being a huge problem mate...but I would claim money back for purchased fuel due to false advertising!
