marbleapple
You cant possibly compare a place of work to a contact sport, never in a million years. I'm honestly amazed you can't see it. Your honestly saying you can't see the point Havard and I are making? Of course there are comparables. I think you will have found I compared myself to Rooney in my earlier post. Its easy. A job is a job whether your a stripper, police man, solicitor or footballer.
Havard
You cant possibly compare a place of work to a contact sport, never in a million years. And Rooneys rant, which i have said many times was out of live, is not going to suddenly teach young children swear words. And if it did then it would be up to the parent to tell them that that is bad language and no exceptable in the house unless Daddy hurts himself with the hammer again. Why can you not compare them? There are codes of discipline for sport and working environments what you are saying is that if the rules are broken, it doesn't really matter. Football is in a mess because of this lack of consistency and bias. You referred earlier to the Ashley Cole incident. FWIW he should have been dealt with much more severely by the Police. I imagine the payed the youth off who got shot to keep him quiet. Either way, football is getting to the point where I no longer enjoy it. Watching people with too much money and not enough brains is getting a little hard to accept. I still don't see how anyone can begin to condone Rooneys behaviour. It would be refreshing to see people actually criticise their own teams players at some point. H.

I dont believe i have, i think i have even said it was undefendable but i cant agree with either of you fellows that you can compare a working enviroment to that of a sports event especially a contact sport. Would it be ok for me to barge you off your desk? Could i rugby tackle you from behind? Could i grapple you to the ground to make you tap out? Could i take one for the team and kick you when you were about to photo copy something? Can i bowl a coffee cup at your head? I could go on but i dont think we shall ever agree, people are allowed their opinions its just mine are always right.
