Andy-No-Knee
Ok, here is the question. I need some suspention drop links and have just been told by a mechanic who I respect enormously that Blueprint parts are as good as Toyota OEM parts. Now am I getting my wires crossed, I thought Blueprint were pattern parts and therefore cheaper than OEM but not as good? The main reason for asking is the drop links are about £100 cheaper that are Blueprint.
Ark
If you can _save_ £100 for 4 drop links, that's about half the price. If they last only half as long, then that seems fair.
Tricky-Ricky
You will probably find that the pattern parts are actually manufactured by the original company that manufactured them for Toyota under license, its common for the third party manufacturer to buy the rights once the car is out of production, and Toyota no longer maintain available spares. Blueprint are pretty good in my books, have used an assortment of parts for various cars that are marketed under their banner, for years now. Swampy442
If its the company Blueprint then theyre good quality, I used theyre upper front arms before.
pedrosixfour
I've bought one or two Blueprint bits for my Prelude and Supra including steering components and I have to say I was happy to fit them, very solid and well finished parts made in Japan at a good price, easy to find/order too. Awisto
Blueprint now guarantee their parts for 2 years and are of OEM equivalent quality (so you can use them on cars still under manufactures warranty)
