Chris Wilson
A friend has just bought a UK spec GS300 with badly worn tyres. It has 225 section 17 inch tyres right now. I am led to believe it should have 235 section, and has 8J rims? Does anyone know if there are any clearance issues fitting 245/40/17 on his stock rims? The width of rim and tyre are OK as a combination, I am thinking of arch clearance. the reason I ask is I have 4 nearly as new 245/40/17 tyres I could do with flogging him Thanks. Ibrar Jabbar
Yes, they will be fine Chris, plenty of room in them arches. I had 10x19 with 275/30/19 on the rear and lowered without any fouling issues.
