Doesnt normally need boost controller on a JDM TT, just a RR and double decat. Assuming all other BPU items are fitted. Of course the 'preferred' way is to fit a 1bar RR and EBC to 1.2bar :)

I run with a 1 bar RR and wouldn't want to run with anything bigger as the possibility of it over boosting is too large.

Just need my EBC to get the boost up to 1.2 bar now though.

While that is fair enough, you have the FCD to stop overboost. That said i dont believe there is an FCD available these days that increases the threshold instead of removing it.

Ive been told the difference between 0.8 boost and 1.4 is around 70 bhp?

Stock J-spec turbos at 0.8Bar (stock boost pressure) the car will make around 300-320hp (flywheel).

Stock J-spec turbos at 1.4Bar the car will make around 380-400hp (flywheel), after a certain amount of time you'll hear a bang, a puff of smoke out the exhaust and then the car will be making 100hp (flywheel). If you're lucky you'll only need of new set of turbos, if you're unlucky then you'll also need a new engine.

Stock J-spec turbos at 1.2Bar (regarded as max safe limit) the car will make around 380-400hp (flywheel).

Stock J-spec turbos at 1.2Bar with cams, bigger injectors, ECU, etc. the car will make around 400-430hp (flywheel).
