luisito-awo Posted April 4, 2011 Share Posted April 4, 2011 hi guys i got an 2jzgte engine with an damaged block.. but i also have a 2jzge ( n/a ) engine... ive done different researches and found out that the block,crank and rods are the same but i doesnt have oil squirters like the 2jzgte's block... my quistion is what about the pistons? are they the same? are they stronger/weaker then the 2jzgte ones? and can i just bold my 2jzgte's head on the 2jzge block? thx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

mwilkinson Posted April 4, 2011 Share Posted April 4, 2011 With regards to the engine block (I appreciate you were asking about pistons) I think Chris Wilson has been looking to get hold of a scrap gte block and ge. He intends to cut them up to see once and for all if the gte block has different coolant passages, hence different casting than the ge block. This something you may also be interested in.
