Brakes:j-spec to uk spec?

Hi Guys,

Thought I'd take advantage of the forum's tech advisers.Basically I am considering to swap the 2 pot j-spec brakes I have currently to the 4 pot 325mm UK brakes.As most of you know the car has 17" 8.5 on the front.I need to know roughly much the UK brakes are going to cost,and also will they fit under the 17" wheels?

Any advice is greatly appreciated:) .

Many Thanks!:thumbs:

Oh s***!

It seems that I'll have to wait until the summer or try and sell the alloys and buy ones which the brakes will fiit under.

The 2 pot brakes are really rubbish,can't drive around with near 400 hp with 2 pot's.Everytime I accelerate I need to apply the brakes so early,mostly half-way down the road.

:(

Anyone else at BPU++ with 2 pot's?

Cheers for the info Alex:)

If you fit Porterfield race pads then you will find the 2 pots work very well indeed. I used my heavily tuned j-spec on track a few times and never ever faded the brakes.

If you find the noise from the pads too much then consider Chris Wilsons fast road pads, almost as good and almost no noise.
