Rob
To all youse people with polished engine bits, as my car sits languishing on the drive, uninsured and unMOT'd, my thoughts are drawn more and more to polishing up the whole inlet system and the two aluminium cam covers (NA). Is it a rod for your own backs? Once done, how much work is involved to keep it sparkly year after year?

tooquicktostop
As Jamie said its a real pain to keep it shiny, polished is even harder to maintain that having the parts chromed I would not do it again
Rob
Hmmm, that's what my concern was. Hours and hours to get the parts polished, then hours more labour on a regular basis. All my alu bits, the cam heads, the TB, the plenum all seem to have a chalky white deposit on them. I think its the bonnet liner thats degrading.
