1jz VVTi engine

Supra Gaz

Recommended Posts

Ok, I bought this from jurgen to drop into my silver N'A, since ordering it, life has changed so I no longer have need for it. Currently it is on route over the water somewhere due to arrive on the 11th of april.

The engine is from a jzx100 chaser auto with around 90,000 km on it. It comes complete with turbo, loom, internals, ecu. It is all standard. I have pics on my laptop which I will put on later.

The price is 1100 gbp, I am open to serious offers near to that figure.

Delivery can be arranged through jurgen at extra cost payable to him, oryou can arrange your own, I don't know where the engine lands in the uk yet, as jurgen hasn't been told.

So, turn your na into a 2500cc single turbo, quick revving beast!

Drop me a call on 07734839387 to discuss

SOLD SOLD SOLD Cheers

Cheers

A w58 and R154 will line up ok, you can use the sump from an 2jzge (n/a) which bolts straight on. A chap in australia did it in his garage over a day or so, its supposed to be quite straight forward. Everything is here for the conversion apart from the tt6 clocks you would need.

Its a cool conversion with an easy 280bhp and tons of torque even before bpu.

I'm doing this swap at the minute and I've stumbled over a bit of info that shows a way of using your NA clocks.

A resistor on the back of the rev counter needs to be bridged or removed and a suitable resistor intalled in it's place to allow the different signal from the turbo engine to be read by the NA clock.

I'm going to try the resistor replacement method myself for a couple of different reasons but mainly because I am cheap.

There is a small word of warning though, if you simply bypass the resistor using apiece of wire certain parts of the ECU will be unshielded from a possible (but highly unlikely) voltage spike. This is not the case if you replace the resistor. A 52k ohm resistor is needed apparently.

Make of that what you will and perhaps heed the warning if you are considering anything other than a stock 1JZ ECU as the controlling influence.
