General Banter
Maybe a stupid question, I don't know. Haven't even had the car a week yet so I've not had chance to start poking around properly, but due to the mpg I've been getting I do think my O2 sensors need replacing. It's an N/A by the way, if it makes a difference 1. How many are there? 2. Where are they? 3. Is this a simple job I can do on my driveway? Thanks! General Banter
Thanks for the reply matey. I hear they can be quite expensive to buy, is there anything to be said for cleaning or refurbing before buying new??
Nic
Pic of the 2 cast 2JZ-GE exhaust manifolds connected to the 1st catalytic convertor. You can see the 2 x oxygen sensors bolted to the manifolds with the wires coming off them. Each oxygen sensor is held on with 2 nuts and plug into the main wiring loom. http://static.zooomr.com/images/9761176_06c815a7f7.jpg
General Banter
Thanks for the photo Nic, much clearer in my mind now. Does anyone think it's worth removing them and giving them a blast with carb cleaner??

I belive the method is to soak them in lemon juice over night.
d_d
Do you really want to mess around with cleaning them. Just buy new ones!

Yes, it's a Sunday and I literally have nothing better to do with my time Anyway, a little update: Removed them and gave them a good old blast with a can of isopropyl alcohol, took it for a good long drive and MPG appears to have improved
