Guest powerslide
i have a toyota supra non turbo manual with front end damage. damage is unrecorded. here is what you will need to get car back in shape: -2 x front wings -3 x front panels (upper panel, middle panel and lower panel) -radiator -a/c condenser -lights -front bumper -driver's side inner wing I have all the parts listed above, apart from the lights, and including a couple of brand new parts! most of the interior has already been stripped! 19 inch bk racing staggered alloy wheels which will need two new front tyres i have also got a jdl widearch body kit for it which was imported from germany , cost £599 + £50 for delivery, which is still brand new in box! boot spoiler has been taken off but iv got a stock black spoiler to go with the car! It has got MOT till september! I wanted to complete this as a wide arch project, and plus...it's a manual but have since been having 2nd thoughts about it! is it worth going ahead with it or shall i sell it and go for a tt (my first ). what do you think i can get for it given that parts alone have cost almost £1000! RobSheffield
Its basically a rolling shell. I sold my rolling shell for £1250 to give you some idea. Then sell the parts on separately, or add them on after, but you wont get £2500 for a broken NA.
Guest powerslide
thanks for your post Rob. it's not really that broken. parts just need to be put on. the only tricky bit would be to sort out the passenger side' inner wing which would require welding. current one aint too bad, but for a perfect shape, iv got one which is straight! i know i probably wont get £2500 for it hence....gauging interest as im unsure weather to keep it or let it go

Any potential buyer needs to factor in labour or effort to repair.

David P
You can pick up an N/A with a full ticket for less than £1,500 and it would cost more than that to repair. Break value, engine, £125, box and pedals etc £200, £100 for diff and driveshafts plus sales of scrag ends?
Guest powerslide
like i said david.....ur entitled to your opinion

Homer
You can pick up an N/A with a full ticket for less than £1,500 and it would cost more than that to repair. Break value, engine, £125, box and pedals etc £200, £100 for diff and driveshafts plus sales of scrag ends? NA auto's maybe. This is a 5spd, the box and conversion kit will get an easy £500, quite easily a lot more, I can give names of half a dozen people that will give that cash right now for a 5spd kit. The shell looks like scrap though as the chassis legs appear to be pushed. As with any Supra, the scrag ends as David calls them should net about £1k if you're willing do do some hard work and wait a long while to get it all sold off. I'd have quite a few bits off it myself if you do break it. IMO, flog it as a parts car and get a TT.
barneybrendan
i got £2300 back when i broke an na manual
Guest powerslide
thanks homer and barney. like i said....this thread is purely to gauge interest as well as getting some expert opinion. problem is that im not a mechanic or a technical person and it's gona cost a lot to get someone to break it for me! hence, if i do decide to flog it...it's gona have to go as it is, else i'll go ahead with my original plan as it's booked in for bodywork this monday. there is no damage to chassis legs. passenger side inner wing is straight. driver's side is damaged but iv got the complete bit including chassis leg! p.s.....what are scrag ends :S oh...and dont forget...iv got all the parts (apart from the lights) to get it looking like an mk4 supra again
Guest powerslide
guys.....i appreciate your opinions.....wont take any offence if you reckon car is work a bag of kp peanuts....neither would i jump up and down with joy if you think it's worth the factory which makes kp nuts
Guest powerslide
p.s.....iv been quoted £1300 for the job, including fitting of the bodykit, smoothing/blending and full respray.
DodgyRog
p.s.....iv been quoted £1300 for the job, including fitting of the bodykit, smoothing/blending and full respray. That quote is cheap for the amount of work that needs to be done, I am spending quite a bit more than that and there's no damage to mine
bullet_uk
p.s.....iv been quoted £1300 for the job, including fitting of the bodykit, smoothing/blending and full respray. £1300 that's really cheap i think this is prob your best option like the other guys said your not gonna get loads for it i see you have to options brake it or fix it and for £1300 i know which one id be choosing. good luck with what ever you decide if you get the work done keep us posted. and where did you get that quote? Chris Wilson
Keron will have a better idea than most as to what it's worth. Why is the interior stripped? I'd just get rid if you aren't in a position to fix it up yourself. £1300 spells a lousy job to me
Guest powerslide
naah it's actually on good job for that money. it's a proper garage with oven. i stripped the interior coz i was gona get the car candy red, but the best quote i got for that was near £3k including fitting etc.
Guest powerslide
you guys reckon i can get £1500 for the car with all the parts (minus the jdl kit?)
bullet_uk
I don't think you with get £1500 for a na with front end damage not at the moment there's so many na going cheap at the mo you could get one full working with a years ticket on it for 1500 to 2000 easy
