Vandals

I went round to see a mate at his new house earlier. I parked in front of his driveway, just his - nobody elses.

I came out 20 mins later, jumped in the car and went to pull away but there was some resistance, felt like a bump or somesuch. I thought I must be up against the kerb, so I turned the wheels slightly and gave it a little more revs to get over the obstruction. Just then a glass WKD bottle went flying out sideways from under the front wheel! WTF? It definetly wasn't there when I pulled up? What the hell is up with these people?

I suppose I'm lucky the bottle didn't break under the front tyre. I'm sure that's what they wanted.

yeah takes the piss, i came back from a round of golf with my dad once, whilst packing up, dad noticed this long nail, probably 3 inches long, wedged up against the tyre so in a triangle (if you get what i mean). if he didnt spot that nail and reversed, cant imagine the consequence, maybe just a slow puncture and go flat, but what if we were on the motorway at high speed? dunno if thats possible but could that perhaps cause a pop?

I thought this was going to be a "christmas time for my penis" thread!

You should have picked it up and thrown it in any direction you fancied. In this country, the chances are you'd have hit a chav or three. :dummy:

The teenagers around here do the nail wedged under the tyre-while the car's are parked on driveways too. A lady around the corner saw one of the kids do it from her window so went straight round to speak to the parents. She followed the kid home, he left the front door open and shouted to his mum that a woman wanted her-when she explained what had happened, his mum said he's been home all night so it wasn't him! Luckily we haven't had that but we have had broken milkbottles left right behind each of the rear tyres at our old house. We only found out because our little girl bent down to pick up her ball and noticed it.

Makes you wonder doesnt it. What would you do if it came to it?????

You walk to your car to find some 13 year old lad wedging a nail up under your tyre, could you hold back????

Or would that nail be soon sticking out of his eye? :sly:

Makes you think :innocent:

Years ago, I was going into a snooker club on a rough estate near here (Leigh Park, the locals will know it). It was about 9pm. As I got out of my car I saw a young lad about 7 years old standing on the roof of a brand new Mondeo which was parked right outside the snooker club doors.

I went into the club and shouted "Who's is the new blue Mondeo outside?"

The owner made himself known and I told him about the kid and said to go and check it was OK.

So he goes outside and grabs the kid and bundles him into the car!

A while later he came back and said he'd made the kid tell him his address and took him home to see what the parents had to say.

Guess what? They told him to "fuck off"

Besides the whole car thing, what kind of parent lets a 7 year old kid roam the streets alone at 9 o'clock at night?

Lovely place, Leigh Park.

It's a sorry state of affairs.

If you do catch the little bastards, make sure you don't infringe their human rights.

i.e. they can do whatever they like to you or your property and get less punishment than you will for being 4 miles over the speed limit on your way to your job (which, incidentally pays for them to be able to roam the streets when they want, doing what they want)

Great isn't it? You even get to pick up the bill for it to! :)

It's going to get a lot worse as well. Think of this generation having kids, which will be even worse than they are.

Who's up for emigrating somewhere where the majority of parents still fulfil their responsibilities?

I fucking hate the attitude of this social minority who just don't live by any morels or rules.

I'm sure faced with a similar predicament I wouldn't have any self control and a hospital visit would definitely be on the cards for the unfortunate tosser.

I'm also fully aware i would surfer at the hands of our law system,..but so be it!

You've gotta wonder where these kids are picking up their mentality. We were driving through some normal looking estate in Guildford once and there were these two harmless looking nippers on the side of the road. As we get closer they pick up a large bit of glass and cast it into the road infront of the car. Nice.

On the way out of the estate we come past them again, same thing happens. WTF. Surely they must have better things to do like climb trees or play in mud.

Had a nail in my tyre a couple of weeks ago, only had the new wheels and tyres on for 1 day!!!!!

That was Leigh Park as well. Scum.

Luckily there are about a dozen kids down my road that LOVE my car, always asking me to rev it etc. want to know what I'm doing to it next. I know they'd probably beat anyone that tried to mess with it! :D
