Chris Wilson
Or maybe a load of scrap magnesium, alloy and steel. How lucky do you feel? If it was a BMW Megatron I'd be very tempted, the head and block cast in one unit that the Hart 415T utilised made it almost impossible to repair any damage. Rare thing though, very rare indeed. http://www.racecarsdirect.com/listing/36603/HART_415_Turbo_engine__parts.html
Tyson
If I had the space and cash I would have a warehouse full of stuff like this. Interesting find !
kill1308
Cool, would this have been one of the 1500cc Turbo's?
Chris Wilson
Yes, looks quite big for a 1.5. Modern engines have far better packaging. http://www.manipef1.com/engines/1984/hart415t/ http://www.gurneyflap.com/tolemantg184.html If anyone buys it I know where there's an original turbo manifold and wastegate set up for it

Chris Wilson
I know three people who would have been straight in their cars to look at this, as it has not already sold I guess it has issues. Even a rebuild on a good core would be mega money, those in the know have *MAYBE* found issues? Historic F1 stuff can be very risky. Historic F3000 is bad enough, I am eating a dry biscuit for my dinner
kill1308
I still think it's crazy how much power they used to churn out of these little 1.5's !! Those were the proper days of F1 in my opinion !
