Mistermann
Hmmm, typical of april fools day - I just took my car out and everything seemed fine until reaching a roundabout. As i slowed down to a stop my car didnt want to drop below 4000 revs! Out of gear and it sat there revving at 4k so I immediately pulled over and opened the bonnet and fortunately...very fortunately the rubber grommet on the throttle cable had come loose and stuck itself further up the line so the cable couldnt move back into its stationary position....I had shat myself prior to this point, removed the plastic and car was back to normal!!! My heart is still racing now as we speak!
Chris Wilson
There's the little know option of using the ignition key to turn it off. But don't tell anyone, it's a trade secret.

GlennK
That happened to me many years ago just coming off the motorway down the exit ramp to a roundabout. Had a load of traffic behind so shoved it in Neutral to stop at the junction then...err...Drive. Well, the 60ft launch time was amazing right up till the torque converter blew up Yeah. The secret ignition key trick is a good tip....
