changeing the starter motor

ive got the dreaded click click click and managed to get a replacement starter motor from keron,how difficult is it to change on a n/a, ive never done any thing like this before ive got plenty of tools and would be doing it on my drive, its booked in to the garage to have it done next week would i be better leaving it to a mechanic.

It's a piece of cake Liam. Disconnect hour battery, Unplug the connector or 2, (can't remember if there's 1 or 2). Undo the nut and remove the power cable, there's 2 or 3 bolts that hold it in and it just slides out. Reverse this to refit. Simples. Need any help giz a buzz.

Liam before you change try undoing the main feed nut, on the underside of the starter, easier to get at from underneath

 

and give it a good clean and put it back on tight

 

I had this thread recently and the above sorted it, go to the last post, after reading the first
