Muffleman
Despite owning a number of performance cars, I'd never actually made it to the track - but now I have. I did a Lotus Elise day at Thruxton last week, and I must say I'm very chuffed with my scorecard. 86% overall but very pleased with 10/10 for lines, pace and approach Anyway, thoroughly enjoyed myself and will defo be doing many more trackdays in the future. A driver there took me for a 'hotlap' in an MG ZS180, totally standard except for slicks. I have to say it went surprisingly well, seemed to handle very well, brakes were good etc. The driver said that with MG going, they are replacing their MG ZSs with RX8s, but he'd rather have the MG It really is a shame about MG So although Supraless (for now), I might just have to get my little MR2 tagged onto any coming trackdays Matt

Bobbeh
Rather have an MG over an RX8!? O-k.
Muffleman
That's exactly what I would've said. This guy was a damn good driver and has driven both in anger, his preference was the MG Would I rather have an MG over an RX8 ? Would I bollocks !!! But I thought his comments were interesting. Alex
I expect 1 being considerably lighter than the other and it being mid engined is what he likes. Would have thought that the MG's would be snapped up for track work as they must be going cheap and spares will be around for ages... Bobbeh
MG ZS180? Thats not the MGF is it? We're talking about that little 3 dr FWD ford focus type of thing? Insane choice!

Bobbeh
Ah, the old Rover 45? Still no match for an RX8... there was one at the Ring this weekend, the guy really knew how to drive, he was very fast indeed.
