Jake
I was reading up on engine removal and fitting on supraforums.com and apparently it's much much easier to fit the engine and box back into the car if you use a Load Leveller Like this : http://users3.ev1.net/~rajunz/engineinstall.jpg They say the engine and box has to go in with the gearbox hanging down and that you use the Load Leveller to bring it back towards horizontal once the box is past the bulkhead/firewall. Anyone used one of these? Anyone know where I could hire/buy one? Thanks
Soonto_HAS_soop
Just use a jack under the car when the gearbox has been slid in.
JohnK
You could make one easily enough with some box section, a few M10 bolts and some chain.
b_have
Jake, its not a problem, when you attatch the lift strap to the hooks, it tends to lift at the correct angle for fitting as the weight is biased towards the rear.Once its sat on the engine mounts, jack the box up to fit. Its really a lot easier than it looks!
