So... the car is going up to London this evening/early in the morning (dependant on how tired I am by the time I get to Portsmouth tonight!) and then up to Middlesbrough in the morning.

I'll amend the ads etc. to reflect this.

I have to say I'm staggered by the lack of interest I've had for probably the only truly stock Supra in the UK, with original mats and toolkits all in pristine condition!? I should give it back to Toyota to put in their museum :D

I bet it would sell like the proverbial off a stick if I stuck a big leary spoiler on the back and gold wheels or something!? (no offence, like :p)

The cars just aren't selling at the moment unfortunately. Very few buyers so they are all after bargains.

FWIW I think your car is a bargain, people will simply be comparing the N/A Auto part rather than the year, the condition and the rarity of it being stock.

Yeah, dat wud be proppa sick!

(Please don't do this! :D I love supras in their stock form.)

I don't think this forum is the best place to sell standard supras, alas. New owners often join the forum after buying a supra, and anyone looking to upgrade will most likely want a BPU'd TT or a single. I'd look to getting it on Pistonheads or Autotrader if not there already, whilst keeping this thread going.

Is it on pistonheads?

It was, and then I let the advert expire, as I couldn't be in Portsmouth the whole time to show it. I'll reinstall the advert once it's 'oop north' and my sister can handle the sale full time. Also Auto Trader... although that just basically generated a lot of rude dealers and a ton of spam email..

Thanks Scott, I think you've hit the nail on the head.

When I bought the car I just wanted something clean, stock, reliable, low milage etc.... which is what I got. I think there is a lot of unfair prejudice against Auto NA's. They're cracking cars and will last a lifetime if properly serviced and looked after. It still pulls like a train and is more capable than most things on the road... :D

So true... I could never bring myself to stick bits on it!? It was designed by Toyota for Christs sake!? why would I want to change any of it! It's a classic nineties GT car. The standard spoiler is leary enough for most people... :)

Yep, it will be re-advertised on AT and Pistonheads next week :)

I got quite a few phone calls from gumtree bugger all from autotrader for the mrs astra convertible. I hate it when numpties phone up and ask rubbish questions about your car.

I suspect once you've got your adverts active again and a regular place for the car to be viewed she'll be away. :)

Another Bumpski! :) She is still available...

I've had some interest from some bids in Switzerland (will I deliver!?), Germany and France from the eBay advert.

I think eBay generates more interest that Auto Trader tbh?!

I think you need to lower the price! I know people will say dont lower it, it's at the right price, but are they going to buy it off of you? no!

You have to think that perfectly good auto TT's are going from 3.5 to 5.5k at the moment, no one is goingt o pay nearly 3k for an auto NA.

just my 2p's worth. You should have taken the offer of 2500 - for the sake of 250 quid!

I know!? At the time I'd just put it on the market, and so had no clue of what it was worth!? I should have saved some hassle and taken the £2500 to be honest.

Btw this is a FACELIFT Auto NA... so there are a few more niceities than on your average NA :) and it's been fully maintained by a Toyota Specialist it's whole life... so it hasn't been through six bods having a tinker now and again, it's a solid car and has been cared for regardless of cost with all OEM parts.
