Tenttu
Thanks, mine were gold only a few weeks ago. I do not dare to have my wheels painted because then they arent original BBS anymore Heh, but i am thinking of selling them cos i want wider wheels and the color has to be black! I think that black or gunmetal rims looks rather tasty on alpine silver supe
Suprab1
Myself and Jimojameso both have 18' BBS LM's with U.k brakes, however I have almost twice the clearance than james , and neither of us are using spacers. I recently had mine refurbished by a guy who specialises in BBS and he told me that mine are a rare 'Jap Fitment'. I have no idea how true this is but there is a noticeable difference on clearance. You can just make out the numbers on these pics of my wheels that my help http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=127486&d=1298563295 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=127483&d=1298563295 I have these wheels in 17". Who refurbished yours & how much? They look class, Pm me the details if you prefer.
Chris Wilson
Julian on here has a MKIV with genuine BBS rims. perfect fit, correct offsets and clear UK brakes easily. Not sure of the offset, they came on the car when it came into the UK from Japan. It was originally a very late VVTi. Make sure you buy genuine, there are LOADS of fakes about. Nice rims, well made and although not exactly light, they aren't silly heavy either.
Neil_M
Thanks so much for the info and replies guys. Makes life alot easier now that I can confirm the correct information. From what I have received back, the jap fitment does indeed refer to the 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Chris, I know what you mean about their weight. I'm undecided about some of the lighter rims out there. I'm liking the OZ Alleggerita HLT at the moment, not sure how they would look on an otherwise stock looking car.
Starbuck
What did you go with in the end Neil? I'm liking the CH's too, however from reading this thread it sounds like it might not be possible to get them with the right spec. There are CH-R's also which I think only come in a 19", I'll double check the offsets once I work out what brakes I have. Great looking wheels. Neil_M
Hi Starbuck.. I didn't make any decisions to be honest. The CHs would be the preference unfortunately . However, I could be tempted by some of the Yank stuff, i.e. the Fiske range.
Monkpower
I've got a set of BBS LM rims on my NA. Front - 235/40/18, Rear - 245/40/18. Strange size rears?
