welshbuddy
iv been looking at the difference of prices between the UK and US for a supra :O, does that mean you could export your supra and get triple what you payed for it here?? DodgyRog
All J-Specs are right hand drive and the yanks want left hand drive as do the Europeans and they are much harder to find, meaning they are holding there price, unlike ours:(

Tyson
left hand drive supra's hold a premium especially if it's a 6 speed aerotop !! Very expensive indeed.

stinboy
if that were the case don't you think loads of people would be doing it? True but sometimes the best ideas are the obvious ones that no-one looked to exploit

In the US it's the hardtops that are worth more, they are pretty rare over there as the majority were aero's. Funny how these things work

Attero
I reckon I'd be crap at driving a LHD car.
Tyson
why? A LHD is no harder to drive than RHD.

evinX
In the uk import laws are different to alot of other countries, and average prices on cars are based on the age etc which is why supras are so cheap here, and we can keep importing/registering them. Where my parents are from, i can take my na back as a returning resident and have it registered legally, where as normal car imports have to be 3 years old or newer! ive had offers for £10k £15k. Id only sell it if i got £20k though due to the landing/registering fees:D no rush though, becuase as time goes on, the price tag will just get higher and higher as it will be on the lastes plates:nana:

I was being semi sarcastic. I drove a Ford Fiesta in Greece for a week a few years and although it was strange changing gear with your right hand, I was comfortable with it after about half an hour. I wouldn't want a LHD over here though as it makes overtaking a wee bit risky. H.

H. yeah overtaking is a pita the fiat i drive regularly over here (its not mine thank god) and as you say overtaking is next to impossible and in a car like a supra that is wide it would be even worse. dangerous brain
I drove my J-specs in europe for 2 years and found them to be OK in everything but overtaking on single carriageways. I found I got stuck behind tractors alot as I lived in a farming area but it generally worked out OK because the Dutch are impatient and the first car to come up behind me would overtake so I could pull out and follow them and mostly then blast past them when they pulled in front of the tractor
Jimmy James
i lived in canada last 20 years and grew up driving left hand drive and supras are very rare over there. i know alot of right hand drive skylines are over there so there is money to be made seeing as a twin turbo would go for $30,
