stevie_b
I've never heard of it on a supra, but I had a Rover that had a coolant leak around the water pump. It leaked when the engine was cold but not when it was warm/running (presumably the leaky seal expanded and formed a passable seal when hot). There's no substitute to having a really good look around the engine bay to trace the leak.

Dnk
It would help to know how much is leaking, if its condensation off the A/C then it shouldnt be very much.,
Iky
I had a similar problem, turned out to be a tiny hole in a core plug located on the back of the thermostat housing.
Shane
I had a similar problem, turned out to be a tiny hole in a core plug located on the back of the thermostat housing. Me too, in fact I had the same core plug fail twice in under 5 years on mine. Its a 20mm plug and cost only about a quid, but is a pain to do as the Cambelt and pump have to come off to get to it, in my case twice! I have never understood why that one fails, the rule of thumb is that if one plug has failed then they are all the same age and likely to be in poor knick, but I pulled a few others on my car and the rest were pristine, very strange. Chris Wilson
Water pump seals often leak when stationary and stop when under pressure and revolving. there should be a drain nipple under the snout of the water pump, with a short black hose on it to stop it dripping on the alternator. See if that is the source. Edited March 29, 2011 by Chris Wilson (see edit history)
Supra_dan
Crap bag I've just acquired a leak today and got a new thermostat put in but water is still gushing out think its probably a core plug
