CanisLupus
Which one? Coolant temp? Intake Air Temp? There is a sensor resistance thread with the exact resistances in the FAQ Section
nevins
A few ways really, a quick on the spot is to heat it with a lighter to see if it is working, then there is the kettle method,or let it heat up with the engine.
Swampy442
The EFI sensor is the green one if I remember right. Im pretty sure I have one mate, let me rake through my spares tomorow
Parry_10
ok I would rather test it on the engine so I dont have to drain the coolant and it looks a pita to get to but its seems impossible to get a multimeter on it- (coolant temp sensor 2 wire plug)
David P
Use the multimeter at the ECU end.
Chris Wilson
Take it out and test it in a pan of water heated up slowly on the cooker witha thermometer in it and reading the resistance as it heats up. No desire to buy a thermometer? may be easiest to just swap it with a known good, or new one! There are diagnostic readers that will just give this info from the diagnostics socket... nevins
As i said the other night mate, just take to an autolec and get them to connect and read the live data, they can bring up what ever sensor is on the car, this is what I always do myself.
