Chris Wilson
For rebuild, but must have NO CRACKS around the wastegate flap hole in the turbine casting. What have you got? I can post a photo of where to look for the cracks. The turbo must be off the joining casting to look inside. Thanks.

Chris Wilson
There is some confusion over checking for cracks. Below the photos show a typical badly cracked front turbo's turbine housing. You need to have the turbo off the cast iron centre section that joins turbos one and two together, and to take out the two bolts that hold the wastegate actuator to the compressor housing. Then you can open the flap valve right back and check for cracks. So, I will pay sensible money for complete turbos or just the housings *IF* they are demonstrably crack free. The front turbo has the narrower width housing, and J-Spec turbos are mounted to the exhaust manifold with three studs, not four, which are UK spec and of no use. Thanks.
