Wait 'til we get a video up with the sound! There will be no stopping him then!

Just a shame this will have to wait until after the holiday!

Luc, it all comes down to whether you trust Paul/Darren to attack your skirts!

I trust Darren and Paul ... the only problem is that I won't be able to get side exits MOT'd over here. First I want a rebuild engine, then a big(ger) turbo ... and then we see ;)

Hey Luc, just keep your current back section for MOT time and have sides the rest of the time.

Looks like the 21st will be the day!

Sorry, no pics or videos yet but I am now the proud owner of side exit exhausts.

These really sound the business especially with the window open. No need to sort the aircon now!

Had some issues making it all line up correctly until we put a Whifbitz Decat pipe on in place of my HKS item.

Also fitted last week were some BC Coilovers and the fmic I got from PeterP. Darren had some fun (not his words!) getting it to fit, but did a sterling job. Had to lose the stock Airbox but he managed to fabricate a set up with a K&N cone filter. Not ideal but better than nothing.

With the RLTC now set up all that was left was a trip to WIM to get the geometry sorted.

Now, I'm no racing driver but the difference is phenomenal. The car was so far out before it was almost embarrassing.

Will get pics and videos soon.

I really like that OMP wheel, as Chris said only real aftermarket one I like. Im thinking that could be the next investment ;)

Maybe we can get a group discount on wheel bosses from Paul :)

Whats this first engine mod then? You going single already ?

Not yet!

Brakes and cage next on the list, followed by valve stem seals and maybe some cheeky camshafts.

Thanks for the piccies Paul. I will try to get some photos of the Super Pro exhaust rubbers as they have really improved matters. Still need to make the holes in the skirt a little bigger and trim them with aluminium though.

Nice exhaust, keeps the weight within the wheelbase and very low. But, err, cough, cough. Fuel pipes? Heat? LH silencer? :bang:

Taken care of already. The box is wrapped and the fire extinguisher is ready!

Seriously though, will be keeping a very close eye on this. I was a little nervous about this but the wrap appears to be doing the job for now. The exhaust manufacturer seemed to think it would be fine as was so the extra peace of mind from the wrap is welcome.

SteveL has been running a similar set up on his racer this year with no issues, and I'm sure his will be getting hotter than mine.

200 mile run home after visiting WIM and all looks fine so far.

Not had any issues with grounding. The new system is actually higher than the lowest part of my Super Dragger that was on before.

Thanks for the pointer though.

Fitted the removable wheel boss and made the trims for the side exits.

Some may think that the trims are a little large but decided that if o had side exits, I may as well make a feature of them.

They are made from 1mm aluminium sheet cut to size and riveted.

Possibly some other bits before Suprapod!

Dropped the cage off at the powder coaters this evening.

Small amount of prep required to clean up some welds and remove the ears to attach it to the "b" pillar.

Will have to see if it comes back red or black. Hopefully red.

Can't be too picky as they are doing this bit for free!

Still waiting for the cage to come back but finally got all the left over adhesive off the back screen from when the tint film was removed. It only took 2 x 30ml bottles of nail varnish remover!

MOT time on Tuesday so looked at some of the little bits and pieces that needed attention. Most importantly tracked down my boost issue. Loose vac pipe. Not that this will shock anyone.

Also decided the diffuser would look better sitting a little lower so did this.

It only drops by about 20mm but think it looks much better.
