pistol pete
my scooby-doo is going in for an op wednesday.. He is a rescue.. (apparently pure bred german shepard thought i highly doubt it even though we have the papers) But in the first 6 months of his life he was shut in a very small room.. so he did not move around much.. due to that testicals did not drop and never have just before we got him he had hydrothrerapy on his back and legs to build his muscles.. he is 100 times better at movement than when we got him a year ago and is just a pup still at 2 years old.. but he has got to have his balls out which are lodged somewhere in his abdomen before the cause him issues or cancer.. I think its a routine op but i still feel for the poor boy, and worry, they are digging right in trying to find them... i am sure he will be sore for a few days.. i am sure it will all go well but i still worry.. he is such a big softie

Swampy442
Every rescue dog has a story, poor souls. Good luck with the op, its routine but still an element of risk puting an animal under. Fingers crossed

TubbyTwo
hope it goes well chap, he's a stunner!! My black lab had the same op, as his Testicles didnt drop either. Poor little chap, they must have disturbed his bladder as we had some peeing issues for a few weeks after the op so something to watch out for! pistol pete
cheers peeps.. i keep looking at him thinking i am soooo sorry buddy.. i am taking away your manhood.. still for the best.. we go have another dog called cassie is is now 12 and we got her as a rescue at 2 years old she had no hair and not bit of meat on her... she had been put in black sacks, beaten etc not nice.. but she is a sweetie in her younger days she was mental fast but last year she slipped a disc in her back and been struggling ever since.. her tail only wags on one side now... but we love her to bits 3 years ago now we lost my love molly to bone cancer./.. ripped me apart when we lost her.. (she was rescued as well) she dearly loved daisy our little girl
pistol pete
well he is home looking very sorry for himself and cannot keep his eyes open so he will sleep well tonight... apparently the op took a lot longer than expected nearly 3 hours they had trouble finding them.. eventually found them lodged between his kidneys and liver.. he had the cone on for half hour but he hates it and is very scared of it.. but he will have to wear it tonight cos we cannot keep an eye on him... he has all been shaved underneath inc his manhood bless.. also got some pain killers for him as well as some antibiotics as he has some-sort of skin irritation that they only noticed when he was shaved.. bleedin expensive but worth it.. Swampy442
Good to see a man like myself. Bless him with his lampshade on lol, but had they stayed there would have caused hell and all problems later in life. Good luck on your recovery wee man
