hp006
I think or know i have a crack in the floor pan. http://s1.postimage.org/21qrmqmdg/crack.jpg I would guess someone tried to lift the car in the wrong place?? Its not seen from underneath but will it get worse. Is it better to try and fix whilst the car is in bits and if so how is it fixed?
barneybrendan
is the metal actually split or just that tar crap cracked apart and the floor pushed up.

little num
sounds like some div has tried jacking the car up on the floor lol, smack it back flat and stick some underseal on.
evinX
I would fibreglass from the bottom and inside, then underseal the bottom and get some hammerite silver and paint the inside, should be fine if you fill and gaps properly, or put some pu sealant between the gaps then glass
ronttuk
i would find the end of the crack drill a hole to terminate the end of the crack the mig weld the total length of the crack the treat with underseal

Only way is to weld the split after reshaping the floor back to its original position.
sams
personally if any water has got in there i would cut a the crack out and weld a plate over the hole (from the underside) then treak both sides accordingly, underseal/bitumastic paint etc but barneybrendan has right idea too id be worried if it started to rot the eges of the crack making it a pita to weld

Well no, if i had a welder i would do it the proper way, but like me i dont. i assumed he didnt have access to one, but if it was me, id have to do it that way. Ive seen a few garages do it... Chris Wilson
I doubt VERY much it's cracked, if anything water ingress under the sound proofing may have rusted it through. Take a photo from the other side. It is not dented, is it? Nor is it a particularly stressed area.
