Josh
As above. They came round to buy my Golf, I offered them a test drive (as I had as well when they first viewed the car on Saturday) and they declined. They filled the V5 in with their details, paid me the money then drove away. I get a call saying the car's making a whistling noise and that they're not happy with it. I explain that I've taken it to 3 garages and each of them has said that it's a "noisy turbo" and it's not a problem. The VW dealer I took it to said that about 1/3 of VWs make the noise. The V5 is now filled in with their details and they've had the money back (even though they filled out a receipt saying "sold as seen" but I couldn't be an a*seh*le and say "tough"), so what do I do? I've tried the DVLA but they're closed so I wondered if anyone on here knew. Thanks for your help, let's just hope it doesn't take a month to get a new V5

Jurgen-Jm-Imports
its not a problem if you spell a name wrong and ask the dvla for new form it causes them too much work, so they dont mind tippex.
Purity14
Apply for a new V5 Also, how many days have passed since you sold the car. Consider this; Is it even the same car you got back, they could have swapped the plates and given you a stolen car back.

Josh
bignum aint no soft tw@t I'm too nice. I hadn't told him about the whistling as I've been told it isn't a problem. He should have gone for a test drive when I offered twice so he wouldn't have had to f*ck me around. Never mind
Purity14
He drove away then came back 5 mins later Again, I would check if I was you - the sooner they bring it back the less obvious it looks. They could have had the clone sat in a carpark down the road.

Cheers though mate FFS
monsween
Should have grown a set and said tough luck. Thats the reason you should always test drive a car!
Josh
Should have grown a set and said tough luck. Thats the reason you should always test drive a car! It was sold from my house and the guy seemed quite interested in the Supra so I don't trust that he wouldn't have come back and done it in. I guess it's his fault for not test driving it but I couldn't really say no to giving him the money back when he cam straight back to mine. They joys of selling a car, eh?! nevins
he bought the car sold as seen, you should have just told him to jog on.

Josh
Not anymore, he just tipexed it out I haven't, I'm going to speak to DVLA tomorrow to see what to do as a new V5 is £25.. I should have told him to f*ck off but I worry about what could happen too much. For a big guy, I'm a right puss..
