bullet_uk
my k & n filter has just arrived thanks to matt for supplying it now I've just open the bonnet to have a look at my stock filter that's on it and I've noticed there is a cable plugged into it. WHAT IS IT AND HOW DO I GO ABOUT FITTING THE K & N
Nic
It's a MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor cable. Are you fitting a new panel filter in the stock airbox?

David P
It's the AIT (Air Intake Temperature) sensor. Just position it where it will get the same temp air as the filter sucks. It can be before the filter if you like. Edited March 21, 2011 by David P (see edit history)

David P
I have made some minor changes under the bonnet in readiness for the supercharger and at this time I am using the stock AIT sensor just hanging in the air box next to the filter.
