jackso11
Have i got 2 wrong sliding pins in my brakes? I have 2 that don't have the rubber ring around the end. Or are they supposed to be like that? if so....which ones are they supposed to be? I need 2 new ones but here are the rest, see the 2 different ones? jackso11
found this post.... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?147777-Seized-Caliper-finally-sorted.&highlight=sliding+pin+part+number so it seems I am not the only one with different pins, but should they all be the same or are 2 supposed to be different? Chris W, maybe you can help me out on this? Thanks
Chris Wilson
Two pins have no O rings, but I can't remember if they are two fronts or two rears, and if they are top or bottom ones. Put them where you like, it won't make any noticeable difference. If I had to trust memory the two without O rings are rear ones and the ones without rings go on the bottom. jackso11
just one other question if anyone has a suggestion.... One of the pins was well and truly rusted in, managed to get it out but how do I clean out the hole before putting it back in?
patrikbrunt
I used a drill bit of around the same size as the hole to clean any gunk out, worked for me
