leonv
Need some help guys. My 2nd car is a Volvo V70 T5 that i fell in love with when i saw them years back in European touring cars. It is getting sprayed next week and i fitted 19 inch wheels a while back and a twin exhaust. I will post some pics when its done.I am struggling to get hold off some info and advice on pulling some easy horsepower from this engine. I think it has great potential but nobody caters for them beieng an { old mans car }I would appreciate any info to turn this beast loose. I am struggling at the moment to find out if there is a dumb valve compateble to the volvo, if i turn the boost up ,what do i need to change regarding the fuel pressures etc Any info would be appreciated. Homer
Apart from the wheels and colour I really like it!! I'm looking for one as my 2nd car too but it has to look stock The Swedes are major Volvo tuners (well, duh!) and have can get some serious perfomance out of the turbo'd engines. Your best bet is to look at some of the european volvo forums and get reading. There is a lot of stuff you can do to the T5 to get some good power. leonv
those brakes aren't tiny........they're bigger than the jspec ones on my NA!!!! They stop pretty quickly too...... The Volvo although i hate to admit it is faster than the soop should have brought a TT. Convinced the wife we needed a V70 T5 as the were quicker and stronger to carry all the kids... what excuse can i use to get her to buy me a TT Soop? Start giving me some ideas..... Holly
cheers holly they are great... Welcome! Let us know how the mods turn out (although no money at the moment), but we'd quite like to do something about the turbo lag on our X reg some time soon (probably chip or exhaust / cat).
