Steve Gee
Help and advice required. My car is with Toyota. Rear brakes are knackered. My car is an import, and needs calipers and discs both sides. The quote for import parts is high. Can I replace the discs and calipers with UK spec? Thanks Steve
Matt C
Yes mate, you can. Your better to do the whole car though rather than just the back. HTH

Terminator
Me too if it is nearer, and discs. Some life left on the pads. Don’t put UK's on the rear without upgrading the front, you will upset the brake function. UK callipers will not fit under many import wheels . Thanks Steve DO NOT fit UK calipers and discs to rear only, you will promote rear wheel lock up under braking, and then the ABS will fight it, reducing OVERALL braking efficiency dramatically. I can supply correctly rebuilt (indistinguishable from new) rear calipers, and good prices on rear discs, if you prefer them to used parts. Pads, too.
