stevie_b
We've got a Denon hi-fi that's been sitting around for a few years in storage doing nothing, so it's time to sell it. Denon kit has a good reputation and is into audiophile territory. This particular kit won "What Hi-Fi" awards at the time. It's a Denon DCD-F101 CD Player in one unit, and a matching Denon DRA-F101 Stereo Receiver in the other unit. It also comes with a pair of SC-M101 bookshelf-style speakers. These are Mission speakers, re-branded as Denon. I believe an iPod or other MP3 player can be run through the aux input of the receiver although I've never done it myself. I'll include all the accessories (radio aerial, remote, instruction manuals, power cables) and also upgraded gold-plated Monster interconnects and good quality speaker cable. Everything you need to use it. This cost £700 when we bought it. I know the hi-fi world has moved on, but it gives you an idea of the quality of the kit and standard of sound you can expect. It's in immaculate condition, barely used, from a smoke-free, pet-free home. I'm looking for £150 ono. I'll post photos of the actual kit if there's any interest, but in the meantime here's what it looks like: http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/moreinfo.cfm/Product_ID/1270
Schtuv
Nice kit - Denon do have a good name. May be interested - just got to check the piggy bank, and have a think if it'll do what I want (and I suspect that with a cheap DAC it might).
stevie_b
Photos as requested. I popped off the speaker cover in one of the photos so you can see the cones/drivers underneath. It's in really good condition. There's a small mark on the side of one of the speakers (you can see it in its entirety in the 1st photo, to the right of the drivers. It looks like a tiny bit of surface paint so it might come off. Apart from that, you could pass this off as brand new and unused. I couldn't find any scratches or marks on the speakers (apart from described above), on the fascias of the units or on the remote. The remote looks like it's never been used.
