Is this an issue with a fuse?

Hi folks,

Having a bit of a strange problem with my clock (time clock) and trip meter on the ODO.

I had the dash panels off to fit my CD player over the weekend, there was one in but my Alpine has a hands free built in so i wanted to use it for obvious reasons. Got the CD player in no problems at all all working (bar the aerial which i knew was busted).

So, put it all back together fine put all the plugs in as follows:

1. Power Aerial Relay

2. 3 wires to whatever the white box is on top of the CD player frame

3. Wires to cig lighter ( the L shape plugs and grey oval for the light? )

4. Wires to heater\ac controls

5. Black\White plug in to back of clock

Then on the odo there were the following:

1. Black plug for hazard switch

2. White plug for ODO etc.

3. White plug for oil\engine light assembly

Fire up the car, odo comes on fine so i flick it over to trip and notice the clock isnt working? Took it apart again to make sure i didnt forget the plug but its in and just nothing comes up - was working fine before.

Then, drive around the block to the shop, get out of the car, engine off etc. Then when i fire it back up its back on the odo (not trip) and when i flick it over its reset the trip as well?

Also ive noticed that it no longer beeps to indicate the lights have been left on or the key is in the ignition with the door open?

Any ideas? Could it be a fuse?

Cheers,

Chris.

Just to confirm this was a fuse, little 7.5A jobber in the engine bay...

Also, could someone just confirm for me where the interior fuse panel is? Document attached above says driver side kick panel? Is it easy to access or do i need to pull bits of trim off?

Mines an N\A jspec.

It's in the right side of the drivers footwell, remove the trim next to the accelerator (also runs down the sill), it's located up in the footwell and is a bit tricky to reach. There's a small cover (4x3 inch) that clips off to give access to the fuses. Best to have a torch handy!

AAhhhhh, i was pulling at that trim and was just thinking that it couldnt possibly be so tucked away. Lucky for me the fuse that had gone was under the bonnet.

Ill remember that for future reference though :)

Cheers folks!
