Jamesy
Whats best for me John? They only have a 26" in a 275, and a 28" in either a 275 and a
dude
OK see if you can understand this. Imagine the rolling radius of the wheel/tyre ie put a mark on it and roll it one turn till the mark is in the same place, the 28" tyre will have rolled a fair way more than the 26", so each time you turn that wheel the car is thrown forward that much more................................................IF you have the power to turn the wheel!!! Which you do have. Thats why on a tubbed car like say Stuart W's the cars are so quick, they have a very tall tyre being turned a lot by some high (numeric) gears very quickly by a powerful motor, the rolling radius on a 31 or 33" tyre is massive and each time it rotates it throws the car forward that extra distance. Does that make sense? Now heres the strange part, you do not NEED a wide drag radial to hook up, there are plenty of Yank cars hooking up and running 7's and 8's on an 8" wide rear tyre and wheel. This Chevy prob has 10" rears.

Jamesy
thanx John suprisingly i DO understand that So the 275/60 would be a good choice on mine ? Didnt want to have to jack it up too much at the back to fit them on ideally as will be using on the street a lot too

Jamesy
Thanx Mark sounds like a plan. Altho i thought a 295/60 was all they had in a 295. Isn't a 295/55 a 26" tyre whereas John was saying to go for a 28"?

Jamesy
Hoosier uk are good for tyres, only in surrey. What are they like compared to MT tyres mate? had alook on their website but no info on there. Do they do a version like the MT Street?
JamieP
Hoosier drag radials are no good for street Jamesy, they don't have tread, just two lines, neither are MT's any good for street IMO.

dude
I would not like to say the only point to me in running 15" rears is to use a drag radial, the pirelli is very hard compared to a DR and has very stiff sides, depends what you want from it. Drag look, not wearing out TOO fast, improved traction
