Slip cont off light flashing constantly

Calling all techies, :), now I know this has been posted about a few times, and I have tried alot of the solutions to some prevail, as at one stage my abs light came on also my engine warning light and the triangle in the middle. Well the engine warning light was something to do with the odo so that was rewired, so far as I can tell the abs light was a iffy rear sensor, so put that light out. Now I am left with the slip cont off light (amber one) flashing at me all the time. The speedo converter and delimiter was checked and was ok. They did a diagnostic it said code 33 rear right sensor and 22 abs solenoid open or short-circuit they changed the abs unit but still the light flashes ? Help please because I am running out of ideas.

Thanks for reading.

I have had a look at this, so has Pete at Thor Racing. I hate electronics but Pete knows the system intimately. Neither of us can find anything apparently wrong. I have the feeling it's responsible for closing the TRAC butterfly and restricting power every now and again. Sometimes all is well, sometimes it isn't. Damned frustrating.

Is this the one that was changed?

I'm assuming the Supra uses a toothed ring on the hub or CV joint like most other ABS sensors. Have these been checked for damage or cracks as this can throw up errors on ABS/Traction control. It's a long shot as I'm sure this would probably flag an ABS fault too....

Are any new codes stored since the last faults were rectified?

Is it manual or auto?

I checked all four trigger rings and they were clean and not particularly corroded. I fitted 2 supposedly good used rear sensors and the ABS light has stayed off since. The old rear sensors both had to be chiselled and drilled out as corrosion of the hub had locked them in solid and possibly crushed them.

Check that link - Wondering if the toothed ring was damaged when the ABS sensor was replaced or even if you've just got one dirty.

I've heard of quite a few cases of this. Happened to me when I had my Audi.

Only other thing I can think of is damage to any of the connections or wires - maybe even damp causing a short (again, another issue I had with the Audi)

I've always prayed but never had an ABS sensor just slide out nicely for replacement! :)

I can only think that the car believes that a wheel is spinning or something which would imply a signal.

You posted while I was typing Chris! :)

If there's absolutely no damage to the mechanical parts I'm at a loss!
