Ibrar Jabbar
I am going to fit the complete set of Superpro suspension bushes on the control arms for now as the ball joints are all good, I may swap them out again at a later stage for a set of Ikeya Formula. Anyway all the bushes have been removed from the suspension arms. I then masked off the ball joints and shotblasted all the control arms. Here's a comparison shot of the front lower control arm after its been shot blasted. Tomorrow I will remove all the rubber boots from the ball joints, coat the arms, grease ball joints, refit boots & Superpro bushes. Ibrar Jabbar
All the control arms are now etch primed / coated and re-bushed with Superpro bushes, I also checked and re-greased all the ball joints. Front lower control arm shown without ball joint boot. Greased and refitted the boot and lockwired on. All the arms completed apart from 2 rear strut rods. I also fitted new subframe mounting bushes. Quick underside shot with rear subframe now mounted. That's all for this Year, more to come next year . Thanks for watching and Happy New Year to all. Ibrar Jabbar
Decided to change the colour of the subframe braces to red and the strut rod satin black to match the rest of the arms. Heres a pic of pic of them bead blasted and then coated red, the orange one's are for sale see here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?260670-Orange-powder-coated-subframe-braces&p=3279360#post3279360 Just some random shots of the control arms and braces fitted. There's still loads to do, interior's getting stripped out next and getting retrimmed in alcantara, transmission tunnel has to be welded in, a whole load wiring to do, etc, etc. I'm aiming to have it all done by March. Tee from China
Awesome car which just gets better and better! The attention to detail is amazing and the colour choices just add to the splender. Almost tempts someone to rip their motor apart just to copy! Certainly a top advert for your company's talents for sure.
kwalker705
All that beautiful powdercoating and painting..........and you've not taken the time to put a quick coat of something on the rear subframe bolts/nuts to tidy it right up. Even a quick electroplating would make it all look 100%.

Thank's Guys All that beautiful powdercoating and painting..........and you've not taken the time to put a quick coat of something on the rear subframe bolts/nuts to tidy it right up. Even a quick electroplating would make it all look 100%. I am doing all the bolts, etc but had to get the subframe mounted up as My mate came round to give Me a hand. You may have also spotted the rusty timing belt tensioner which is being replaced for a new one. There won't be any rusty parts on this car, once its finished. Here's what I have been doing to the bolts. Before, rusty eccentric adjuster bolt Bead blasted. Etch primered, baked and then painted satin black and then re-baked to give a durable finish.
