I am going to fit the complete set of Superpro suspension bushes on the control arms for now as the ball joints are all good, I may swap them out again at a later stage for a set of Ikeya Formula.

Anyway all the bushes have been removed from the suspension arms. I then masked off the ball joints and shotblasted all the control arms.

Here's a comparison shot of the front lower control arm after its been shot blasted.

Tomorrow I will remove all the rubber boots from the ball joints, coat the arms, grease ball joints, refit boots & Superpro bushes.

Decided to change the colour of the subframe braces to red and the strut rod satin black to match the rest of the arms.

Heres a pic of pic of them bead blasted and then coated red, the orange one's are for sale ;) see here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?260670-Orange-powder-coated-subframe-braces&p=3279360#post3279360

Looks amazing mate, showing everyone how a restoration project should be done, if my engine has to ever come out again i will be asking you to do the same to my car.

You should put a thread up in readers cars on pistonheads, be good advertising, just dont be to blatant ;) they loved my build thread.

some nice work your doing there, keep up the good work it will be awesome when you Finnish it.

do you think you' ll be completed for supra pod?

There's still loads to do, interior's getting stripped out next and getting retrimmed in alcantara, transmission tunnel has to be welded in, a whole load wiring to do, etc, etc. I'm aiming to have it all done by March.

I edited a quick photo for you on my iPad, it is supposed to be tilt & shift style but didn't come out brilliant.

Thought you might like it :)

That looks great, thanks Abz

Awesomely awesome!

There's a lot of work gone into this!

Wow, amazing work Ibrar!

Perfect build to demo all your services

Awesome car which just gets better and better! The attention to detail is amazing and the colour choices just add to the splender. Almost tempts someone to rip their motor apart just to copy! Certainly a top advert for your company's talents for sure.

Thank's Guys

All that beautiful powdercoating and painting..........and you've not taken the time to put a quick coat of something on the rear subframe bolts/nuts to tidy it right up. Even a quick electroplating would make it all look 100%.

I am doing all the bolts, etc but had to get the subframe mounted up as My mate came round to give Me a hand. You may have also spotted the rusty timing belt tensioner which is being replaced for a new one.

There won't be any rusty parts on this car, once its finished.

Here's what I have been doing to the bolts.

Before, rusty eccentric adjuster bolt

Bead blasted.

attachment.php?attachmentid=143750&d=1325530519

Etch primered, baked and then painted satin black and then re-baked to give a durable finish.

And I thought me and Rob were anal with our builds, you've taken it to a whole new level. It looks 1st class. Makes me want to pull my engine and do mine now.

Really can't wait to see it.

Thanks John, Your car deserves it and I don't think it will take you long to do once you've had a couple of cans of Monster. :D

I would have a field day if i had the powder coating facilitys at work. Nice work Ibrar, as hodge said i think we better watch our backs when it comes to MINT looking

Knowing you Rob, You probably end up chroming your subframes, LOL. ;)
