how much windscreen wash will a Supra drink?

About as much as that hole in the bottom of it will take!

yeah funny...! :sly:

Actually the reason I ask is that when I got the car it was obviously filled up as the screen wash laster ages compared to when I refilled it with 6-pints later.

I need to know so that I can fill it up without risking the screenwash going all over the battery!

If only that were the case with fuel too:innocent:

Your windscreen must be really dirty then Matt.!!! :D

Fill it until it overflows, the alakaline in the screenwash will dilute or kill any acidity on top of the battery and remove any verdigris from the terminals :-)

Having gone 8 months without ANY washers on my 2 Volvo estates, `cos I'm too idle to find out what's up with them, I am not giving you much sympathy here

So how do you cope with the constant wintery salt/grit/sh*t mix thrown up by cars in front?! A few seconds of that and I can't see!

I think it takes 7 or 8 litres from memory. A lot.

I've went about 6 months between filling up the bottle! And most of that is winter driving!

I remember at one stage my wipers went on a car, had to attach a bit of string to them.....a mate then had to pull them long every now and then to wipe the rain from it. Tried the stick head outta window routine.....I was absolutly saoking within minutes and couldn't really see to great either TBH.:stupid:

I am embarassed to say i just let the wipers grind a hole through the mess, or I try and get behind a truck and hope it splashes up something more wet than solid... I REALLY should get them fixed, one car has a leaking washer bottle, so the level drains to about a cupful as soon as it is refilled, the other has no washers at all, a very scratched screen and a 5 litre container of water / screen wash in the passenger footwell for when progress gets too risky to safely continue. Terrible, I know, I know... Tomorrow, I'll look tomorrow!
