Tyson
I have finally sold my ZR so am looking for a daily driver as I work at a supermarket and hate parking the supra in the carpark. I drive 2.5miles to work and the same back so a 5 mile round trip in all, 4 times a week. I also go to castle donnington which is approximately 80 mile round trip once or twice a week. Now the biggy I have a budget of 600 quid so not a lot to work with. The car just needs to get me from A to B but a few creature comforts like power steering would be nice. Needs to be in a low insurance group as I am only 21, I'm thinking small petrol / diesel what are you're suggestions ?? Needs to be reliable too as a don't want to spend too much money on it. Cheap N Cheerful as they say I have been trawling for ages and can't seem to find much, Mileage doesn't matter as long as it has service history but nothing more than 150k. tooquicktostop
I would look for an old mondeo, I had a very cheap one some time ago and it never let me down, was great for nipping about but also comfortable on a motorway

mistertwo
Ford Escort. My first car was the 1.4 97 model. For the money it has good spec, low insurance and I think I paid £500 for her!

Its a no on the mondeo front as the smallest engine is 1.8 petrol which are expensive to insure, a few diesels but they are too far away Will look at escorts, thanks. ozz
I'd just go on ebay, search for all local cars and see if anything jumps out at you.

Tyson
fiesta 1.3 cheap to insure and run looks like the most likely candidate as all the corsa are highly priced / too far away and there are a couple of well priced fiesta's close to me. Any problems I should look for specific to the fiesta and in general?
Guest ugp
If you can brush off the jokes, a rover! Mine's a 45, paid 150 quid for it on an x reg, 40mpg, cheap parts etc, rarely go wrong.

I have owned a ZR basically a rover 25 for 2.5 years and it was nothing but trouble so I don't think I would get another rover especially not with a K series in.
