hi guys.

im new to this forum but i thought i would come and have a chat with the guys in the know how :)

ive got a s15 and looking to do a 2jz ge turbo swap. my questions are these:

would a top mount exhaust manifold for a turbo fit?

would the intake manifold for a turbo fit?

would aftermarket injectors for the turbo fit?

what ecu should i look at using?

is it possible to change the dizzy set up to coilpacks, if so rough cost?

i have had a quick look thought the FAQ and didnt find what i was looking for, so if there is anybody here that can help with some of the above that would be great

thanks for your time guys:notworthy:notworthy

Would be far easier just fitting a GTE engine, job done. You could get one of those far cheaper than a GE then turboing it.

What sort of power goals are you after?

As for fitting, you are probably best asking on the nissan forums as we mainly concentrate on fitting the engines into supras :D

hi scott, its ok dude i will cut the fire wall out and set the engine right back myself. im looking for around the 400bhp mark or more as long as its safe :)

from what ive seen the gte lumps seem to fetch good money and there is a nice guy on here that is selling a GE for £120! i have parts laying around work likes turbos, piping, intercoolers ect ect so it wont cost to much on that side of things.

You would be surprised what the exhaust & intake manifolds cost, not to mention upgrading to coilpack ignition and injection side of things. The money you would make on selling your parts, and the money you will save from not having to buy all the stuff to get it to 400hp will add up to more than a GTE engine IMO. 400hp & 400ftlbs right out the box, shoehorn it in and its job done :D

You can easily pick full GTEs up nowadays for around the 1.5k mark.

1.5k is wayouta the budget for this build dude. i know what your saying but ive got a holset hx35 sat here already and i would make the exhaust system myself. i would be looking at a £150-£200 exhaust manifold from ebay then make it stronger and what not, also a inlet mani for ebay just to keep the intercooler piping tight and compact.

the whole build should'nt cost me much more then 1k all in with gearbox as 90% of what needs doing i either already have or i can make myself. :)

i would like to change to coilpacks on the engine but if its too much money would it be possible to run with the dizzy?

Lol typical drifter, wants everything for but wont pay for it :D To do an na/t conversion properly will cost alot more than a grand, an R154 is 450 and thats without the correct bellhousing, not sure the W58 would take 400hp plus abuse of clutch kicks etc. Then theres ECU, mapping etc etc

http://forum.clubna-t.com/ is the best resource for all your info :)

You're dreaming if you think you can build a reliable turbocharged 2JZ-GE S15 for £1K.

As Scott said, it would be FAR cheaper and give better results to fit a 2JZ-GTE motor.
