Kirk
This morning i went out to tesco's for some breakfast. I parked purposely in a spot with a space either side to avoid any possible damage to the car by an inconsiderate individual, so much for that idea! I came out with the shopping only to find a nice fresh scrape on my front bumper and on the edge of the wing. The bumper had also been pulled away a little from its side mounts. So there's me looking around for the possible culprit when a couple who had parked opposite me and seen the person do this pointed me in the right direction...What a surprise, he was leaving without a care. So i jump in the car and belt it after him and luckily enough i had a break in the traffic to pass and get infront of him at a red light and with the traffic building up behind him he was going nowhere so i jumped out the car and displayed my anger by opening his door and verbally blasting him. Looking at him he was young and probably only just passed his test. Dont think he was expecting to get caught but anyway i told him to follow me to the police station. Naturally i knew he'd try and run off which he did but i got his plates and gave his discription to the police. They have looked at the car and classed it as criminal damage so hopefully i should hear from them soon. It just really made my blood boil all of that first thing this morning. Some people just have no respect for some one else's car. Soon teach him when he's forced to pay for a new bumper Rant over!

jonathanc
Well done mate. I wished I have the courage to do something like that too! As for criminal damage, I seem to remember being told if it happens in a private car park (like a supermarket car park) the coppers can't do anything about it? Josh
Why would he run and think he'd get away with it? Hope he goes down for the hit and run and for the damage. If not, boot him in the balls..
jevansio
TBH I'd of chosen the physical route (if he was small enough), and fecked him over while he was strapped in his seat then belted off

DodgyRog
Good catch, I had to do something similar a few years ago when I got side swiped on a large roundabout, they ducked off the exit and I could not react fast enough and had to race around the roundabout and chase them down When I got in front of him and jumped out I realised there were 4 guys in the car, but they all sat quitely in the car while i ripped into the driver and called the police as he had been drinking If theres one lesson to be learnt from yours, it's if there are 2 spaces side by side, park in the middle of them both, I do it every time. Tesco's trolley dolly said something to me once, so asked if he was going to pay for the respray if some dope dinged my door (maybe not quite that politely:taped:), he walked away quitely Hope you get it sorted on his insurance
Aero-M
Its the way the worlds going. What would you of done if it was you. Im sure most people would try and get away with it. I followed my missus out of a car park once and she hit a car and carried on. She is my wife but I made her go back. it was one of the parents at our daughters dance class, she had only put a small scratch in the bumper which I said I would pay for but the owners said not to worry as it was so small. Pisses me off when it happens to my cars, and if I see anyone do it to someones car, I always stop them if possible or put their details on the car they have hit. Axle
Why???? Because road rage is a criminal offence. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), road rage which is a form of aggressive driving, involves a criminal act of violence. It includes: deliberately driving in an unsafe or threatening manner, excessive tailgating, verbal abuse and shouting, speeding or racing the other car, making rude gestures, throwing projectiles at the other car, and waving a gun, among others. Not defending the tw@ in the first instance.

It can't be road rage if he was aprehending a criminal !!!!!
