Josh
Just noticed a little puddle of bright green liquid under the front of the Supra. It seems to be dripping from the undertray of the engine but I can't find where it's coming from. Anyone any idea as to what this may be? baldy
air con, they put the die (green) in with the gas to help find when there is a leak. mine has done the same and looks like a seal on a joint in the pipework, there are "o" rings in the joint blocks,so might be that

mawby
Sod it. I've just taken my under tray off to prepare for changing my radiator that is fecked and I spotted a few drops of liquid that were green and not red/brown like the coolant. So now not only is my radiator knackered but so is my air con.
mwilkinson
Air con is never cheap. I had my car 3 years with no air con because I was too scared to take it anywhere to get fixed for fear of cost. It turned out to be the expansion valve. With testing, parts and labour it cost me £400. Not bad really all things considered, also such a joy to drive in the summer without sweating my bits off. In this case you wont really need any diagnostic work as it is obvious whats gone wrong. Should be a simple fix. (fingers crossed)
Josh
Oh man, I hope it's an easy fix. I haven't used the air con since I got the car anyway. I've never had it in either of my other cars so I don't mind. I guess I'll try and find out what the issue is then get it fixed. Thanks for everyone's help today, I'm done messing with stuff now

Thanks for everyone's help today, I'm done messing with stuff now If it is an o ring it isn't hard to do, just a disharge replace ring then recharge system. If it is the soldered joint it is a bit more trickier. You might be able to solder it but there is a fair bit of pressure in the system so get it done properly, get a vacuum test done to check for leaks before a recharge. I would change the full pipe if it was my car.

L18msy
Mine has gone the same - looks like I'll be taking the roof off for a while! The above really isn't a hard or an expensive fix, if the drier, condenser or compressor goes that is where the backside faints.

Chris Wilson
Just take the air con condenser, pipework and compressor off, and call it lightening. You need a shorter auxiliary belt, which I stock. Air con repairs can be a chase the tail job, you fix one thing, re gas, which is made into a drama by the Greens, then find something else fails, blocks or leaks the following week. An open window is much less hassle.

Opening a window doesn't cool you down on a silly hot day though, just mess's your hair up Bite the bullet and fix it properly, one bit of advice is give Ibrar a call, he used to do aircon regass's etc and might be able to help you out. He certainly charges less than anywhere else i know for the vaccum check and re gas, or used to.

I'll get it fixed, but if I did want to get rid, I'll let you know Chris.
