colsoop
Callling on you knowledgable people can you look at the attached diagram and tell me if this is ok. Im not a plumber so want to continue with the speedfit (there from the previous bathroom) and flexible compression pipes for ease of install. The thermostat will mount to the wall, and it is a concealed unit. I believe the water is high pressure (although the mixer works with both)and its a combi boiler. The thermostat is a one way type. Thanks for your time
Havard
What is the flowrate of the shower? The drawing looks ok but I wonder if the pipework is a bit small for a high flow shower? H.
colsoop
This is the shower i have: HERE I believe the system is designed to work with low and hi pressure.
edge
Your mixer shower will say in the book somewhere that it will need to have balanced water supplies (same flow and pressure) as you may have Higher flow from the cold than the hot as the hot side will be lower than the cold, this causes a limited temperature range in the shower and you may not even get it warm enough if your pressure and flow are greater on the cold. So try a flow limiter on the cold side if you cant get it hot enough. Make sure you connect them to the correct inlets as its a thermostatic shower. It uses a ceramic flow control so make sure you flush the pipe well because if you get some small hard debris on the ceramic plates they scratch and you will have a drip. merckx
Best to use "full bore" isolation valves as the standard ones will reduce the flow rate. I don't think you can get them in the speedfit plastic fittings, only brass with compression fittings as far as I'm aware.
